Get Busy Livin' or Get Busy Dyin' - Shawshank Redemption Movie Location

The RVillage Rally was over and we were heading back to Ontario.   Looking for a place to stay overnight on the way back we turned to "Boondockerswelcome.com"

Boondockers Welcome is a website conceived  and created by a Canadian mother and daughter team to connect RV travelers with people who welcome them  to stay a night or two on their property.   A lot of "Hosts" are also "Guests" when they are on holiday. There is a modest annual fee for access to the website and system connecting us with hosts. We contacted a host in Willard, Ohio.

On the way we took a detour to Grand Rapids an Historic Canal Town. We explored this beautiful place where on the weekends you can ride a canal boat pulled by a donkey like they did when the canals were built. 

Our hosts in Willard told us about the Ohio State Reformatory where many movies were filmed including a lot of one of our favorites, Shawshank Redemption.

Construction - Driving the big rig was very tight between the barriers.

Back in Canada over the Peace Bridge to Niagara Falls.
We spent a couple of nights at the KOA Niagara to visit with Evan.
