Northumberland Provincial Park and Beach July 2018

Karin, Scott (McPhee), Manfred and Sidi headed back to Ontario. We stayed at Northumberland a few more days. Relaxing beach time, trying out the kayak we bought on Kijiji in Ontario and Tanner playing in the surf.

A girl on the beach showed me what she'd found (pretty sure she put them back)

Park information: Northumberland Provincial Park has a mix of wooded and water view sites.
For tents sites 27-31 are right on the cliff overlooking the straight (Karen stayed in one of these).  For big rigs sites 15 - 19 and 22 - 26 are the best. Services are between every 2 sites so pay attention to the arrows. they show the way you would drive into the site. For example site 15 and 22 have services between them. We were in site 15 with a view to the south, over the water and services on the driver side. If you are in a 5th wheel and want the view to the south you'd need to be in site 22.
The free day use area is large enough for big rigs, offers washrooms and access to the beach down the stairs. You can use the dump services here for a fee ($10.00 I believe).

There is also access to the beach by car (not rig friendly) at the end of Panting Shore Road. There is no cliff here so easier access then going down the stairs at the park if you have trouble walking or with stairs.
