Fall Colour, Kayla's Birthday and an Invasion of Birds (September 28th - Oct 9th, 2020)

Fall is a favorite time of year and we've enjoyed getting out and about.

Fishing Silversides at the Montague Wharf

2 boats, one didn't even have a motor, the fish in the nets were pushed towards the boat on the right, the 2 guys on the left pulling the net up and over their boat until there was about 6 feet between the boats and the fish were scooped out.

There were plenty of birds heading south - no border closures for them :-)

Geese below in the neighbours field and fueling up for the flight.

We had quite a few (thousand) birds around our place too - particularly a large flock of Starlings

They filled the front yard, the back yard and the trees

Scott has been busy on the siding and writing this, the east wall of the house is done. He managed this all from the scaffolding he made. Probably best I was working and not home to see any ladder calisthenics. Only a little more on the back dormer and back wall and it'll be completely done.

East side of house was completed a couple of days after we returned from Cape Breton

Front will stay as is until porch is added next spring
