Strawberry Patch Protected by Killer Mosquitoes (July 15 - 21, 2019)

We love strawberries and discovered several patches in our own yard.  Small and very tasty I did manage to pick enough to share with Scott before being run off by masses of mosquitoes.  Apparently they love strawberries too. I've been reluctant to go back a second time but may get the gumption up tomorrow.


Sunday was day 2 of Montague Days and first headed out to have an ice cream at What's The Scoop. A group of T-Ford owners were also there cashing in ice cream coupons they received as part of a "Red Dirt Tour" Rally. Chatted with several of participants who brought roughly 150 T-Ford's from all over Canada and the US. So fun.

Back to work on Monday. Down to final tear out.  We definitely took out more than we originally expected. The stairs will be taken out soon as well and their location moved.

In preparation for the kitchen to be taken down by an excavator Scott literally cut a line separating it from the main house.

We removed a fair bit of the siding and some of the insulation to use on the house.

And it's the weekend again... Great afternoon at the beach Saturday.
